Camping Theme Baby Shower

What a clever idea...a camping theme baby shower. All the little details make a rustic themed party such as - pine cone garland,  flannel napkins, acorns atop the napkin, s'mores, small pine tree and camping lanterns.

 It's all in the details.

 Simple props!

Using Ombre in Design

There's something magical about blending colors together to create a soft and romantic effect. This violet colored ombre cake by Maggie Austin Cake is simply dreamy. Definitely wear this Versace ombre gown while serving that cake ;) Arrange floral centerpieces in graduating tones like in this stunning arrangement by Martha Stewart Weddings and this cake by Cake Couquette, with tones growing darker in a sweet progression. This dramatic floral cake by Superfine Bakery has a different color tone on each of its layers- sooo pretty and garden-like! Love this look by Pottery Barn (via SMP). Use separate vases for each color and arrange them in ascending gradient order. Using ombre in your party design and home decor makes a sophisticated statement and radiates good taste.

Sweet And Charming Baby Shower on a Budget!

What I so LOVE about this baby shower... is it was done on a budget but doesn't look like it one bit! Heather Annette of Heather Annette Photography created this charming shabby chic, vintage party for her friend, Kristi. As Heather says,  "I had so much fun making all the decorations! It was SUPER inexpensive and easy! You gotta be creative when you're a poor, newlywed!"  Use what you have at home to help decorate for an event. Beg borrow and steal ; ) items from family and friends to help create a darling party without the large expense.

I've always enjoyed this fun baby shower game "Guess Who". Each guest brings a picture of themselves as a baby, number the photo and have guests figure out who is who. Cute idea to hang pictures on a clothes line with clothes pins!

Check out Heather's blog for more images of this inexpensive baby shower (but outrageously cute baby shower)! She also has incredible photography skills.

Have something like this in your home...  Vintage Decorative Containers ~ Shabby Chic Pink ?  Wouldn't these be darling filled with flowers for table decor for a sweet event?

Sweetest Farm Chic Party!!!

Sweet and adorable are words to describe this farm chic birthday party for a three year old little girl! Some of my favorite, favorite colors were used - red, aqua and pink.  Jennifer from Social Butterfly Ink created this one of a kind party.  Jennifer describes some details: "The Favor Baskets came from Michaels..and they also go on sale often!!  They were bigger than I had originally planned…The ones I wanted were the same baskets from Hobby Lobby but much smaller…I made 3 trips out there and they never had enough for everyone (I needed 24!!)…So I found these at Michaels and they worked out well…I gave one to each family, almost everyone was a brother and/or sister pair so the basket had to hold 2 Caramel Apples, 2 Old Fashioned Party Crackers, 2 Rock Candy Swizzle Sticks, 2 Farm Stickers and a Farm Board Book for the little ones…Each Basket was lined with fabric (which I’ll list in the next post:) that I cut up with a scalloped rotary cutter and I made the Fabric Rosettes, which were also Hair Clips!!"

 Love, love, love!!!

Krylon Blue Ocean Spray paint is the color used on this frame.
