I seem to remember around two decades ago, when the big people I knew were older. Nowadays, there seems to be a lot of younger people belonging to the plus-size category. Nevertheless, they need apparel that makes them stand out and look fashionable too. There are several fashion retailers that have come out with great outfits in large sizes. These are actually both for men and women. In the past, it was indeed easier for large men to find clothing that was suitable for their size; however, these were not always available in the latest fashions.
