A Quick Way To Make Popsicles!

Are you familiar with the Zoku Quick Pop Maker? If not, this is a really "cool" kitchen pop maker. The great feature about the Quick Pop Maker is it make popsicles in about 10 minutes! It's easy to use and completely kid friendly. You can create your own popsicle recipes or use their recipe book. To make popsicles, simply store the base in the freezer (it's the size of a small loaf of bread). Once the base is frozen you can create your own popsicles in about 10 minutes. The unit makes 3 popsicles at a time. According to the Zoku website,  you can make a total of 9 popsicles before you need to refreeze the base again. I seemed to make only 6 popsicles before I had to refreeze the base.

My orange juice with blueberries popsicle - yummo!!
I experimented and used orange juice, grapefruit juice and carrot juice. Nothing like a healthy popsicle.  Wondering how the carrot juice pop tasted? If you're not a huge fan of carrot juice to begin with you're probably not going to like it. I did use 80% OJ and 20% carrot juice and that was pretty good considering it was totally healthy. You do need to use some type of ingredient with sugar because natural sugar releases the pops from the molds. Without any sugar the pops can be difficult to remove. I used pure orange juice and grapefruit juice and the release was ok.

Character kit to make your own character pops!

Fun, easy to use. I wish it had more than 3 slots to make a popsicle. If you're having a hard time removing the popsicle, read the instructions. There are a few tips that make the pops easy to remove. I wouldn't recommend this for a large gathering or large family.  It takes a while to make each batch of pops. You could make the pops ahead of time and place in a freezer bag.
